IOC ACP Lead Educator Course
Introduction

The next phase of the expanded IOC Athlete Career Programme (ACP) seeks to empower Olympic Movement stakeholders to deliver quality programmes, such as outreach workshops, self-sufficiently based on improved access to enhanced frameworks, global content and workshop facilitators. The expansion will be enabled by additional Athlete 365 related topic modules and an increased number of Educators and geographic coverage. Specifically, the next phase of the ACP Outreach programme has three objectives:

  1. Empowering local programme delivery
  2. Enhancing global Educator skills
  3. Expanding the content and enable its customization to the needs of athletes.

This course is targeted to those with previous experience working on the ACP Outreach programme. Successful candidates will be certified as IOC ACP Lead Educators.

Who should attend?

Candidate Lead Educators are expected to:

  • Have an interest in becoming an ACP Outreach Educator;
  • Be fluent in a supported language (English, French, Spanish);
  • Be available to travel;
  • Have former leadership activities;
  • Have public speaking experience or presenting skills;
  • Have participated in the Athletes’ Commission of their country / IF / other organisation;
  • Have been recommended by their NOC / IF / WOA / other organisation.
Programme outline

The course is targeted to those with previous experience working on the ACP Outreach programme as part of their Continuous Professional Development. The aim is to assess and enhance the educational approach and delivery skills for the ACP Outreach modules. The course is underpinned by three practical delivery sessions and a ‘learning-by-doing’ methodology.
